The Young and Old of Roebourne

Following on from my previous journal entry ¬†- ¬†Yijala Yala Project: ¬†These images below were drawn in the first two days in Roebourne’s 50 cent hall. When¬†¬†the doors opened a flood of children, many of whom had just come back from participating in BighART short film and still in costume ran up to me, with young ‘Kendrick’ the first to take a seat…draw me….draw me !

We also had some residents from the local retirement home come down for a visit and join in on some of the other workshop activities. Whilst Doris was engaged with a small piece of her own art, I did this small sketch. The week also saw for the first time, some of the older teenagers, particularly the lad’s come thru and see what BighART was doing.
